Isabel Openshaw (Iza)

‘Rose Plant Meeting & Tea Ceremony’

Rose has captured our hearts for thousands of years. Her motherly, nurturing embrace allows us to soften, feel safe & protected. Through a guided somatic meditation, you are invited to listen with the body & welcome guidance from our oldest living ancestors. Meeting Rose through a ceremonial infusion, we deepen relationship with her & get to know how she moves our beings. With intention, plants offer us companionship and meet us where we are, reminding us how to walk with beauty on this earth.

About Isabel

Isabel Openshaw (Iza) is a forager and an insight herbalist studying at the School of Intuitive Herbalism. I’m guided by a call to remember and reweave a life lived in conversation and reciprocal relationship with the plants and land. Through intentional meetings, the plants open up doorways of our being. I have been facilitating tea ceremonies and plant spirit meetings for many years now, and holding medicinal plant walks for many more.
Alongside this path, I have worked as a plant and fungal ecologist researching forests at Kew gardens.
Last year during the Wildbiome project I lived solely on wild and foraged foods for April which enabled me to deepen my relationship to my body and the land and I will be taking part again this September, during Heart of the Rose festival.
