HEART OF THE ROSE - WINTER SOLSTICE COMMUNITY GATHERING
Saturday 20th December, 4.30pm - 11pm
Eridge Village Hall, TN3 9JF
ALL GENDERS WELCOME
In times gone by, the 20th December not only marked the beginning of this sacred festival of Yule, but was also originally called ‘Mothers Night’ - a time to honour and give thanks to the ancestral mothers, female ancestors and goddesses of the time.
To honour this Holy divine Feminine darkest and longest night together - we will gather in community to sing, pray, dance, meditate and connect together, deepening into the dark womb of the Mother, ready to be reborn again with the coming Solar Christos Light.
This gathering will be for ALL
The evening will run as follows:
4.30 - Doors open
5pm - Opening Ceremony
5.30-6.30pm - Talk and Guidance from Wealden WopboRa Elder Julia Julia on this sacred time of Yule and ancient practises of these lands
6.30-8pm - Dinner and time to connect around the fire and free rose blessings throughout (for the ‘Dinner Menu’ + prices - please see image below)
8-8.30pm - Guided Meditation into the Stillness of the Heart and this Dark Womb of the Mother led by Sophie Nevill
8.30-10.30pm - Elian and the Rose Collective + Guests - Kirtan and Songs and Praises to the Mother
11pm - Doors Close
The main intention for this event is simply to Be together and deeply connect to ourselves and each other on this sacred wheel of the year, on the sacred land, remembering the old ways in this new age. In service and remembrance of Her and this way of the Heart, so all can come back into balance again…
Please note - we will have a dear sister @magikandalchemy that will be selling a delicious vegan winter stew and soup and cake and teas throughout the evening. Please see the menu below…
We hope you can join the sweetness! It feels like it is going to be a very sacred, warm, loving and nourishing Holy evening.
(Please know children are welcome at this event. Please note, there will be some needed moments of Stillness and unfortunately the village hall is a singular small room, so we don’t have space to create separate activities for them but do bring if called. It will be beautiful to have everyone together on this sacred night!).
We do not offer exchanges or refunds on any tickets - if you buy a ticket and are unable to come - you are welcome to sell your ticket on but must organise this on your own (no need to tell us).
(As an Elder and keeper of The Deopenweg, J.M. Julia shares her teachings of the Ancient Wealdland Tradition in the spirit of service. She does not charge for this offering; her role at this event is to honour The Threshold of Yule, and all those gathered in community with the knowledge entrusted to her).
