‘Poetical Mark Making and Drawing’

This workshop is about breath-led and process based intuitive mark making using a range of handmade drawing inks & natural materials on a large roll of paper. Using non dominant or both hands, at times with eyes closed, to explore responses within the body to energies, rhythm, sound, repetition, movement & play. To allow natural discovery and deeply activate the creative imagination to develop into drawings that emerge from emotions, patterns, nature, animals, dreams, symbols, words etc.

About Kathy

Kathy Wray is a practising visual artist who also writes poetry and regularly teaches, she is based in Cornwall and has exhibited across the South West. Her creative visual work is inspired by somatic movement and expression through emotional connections and states of mind - exploring themes revolving around loss and abandonment. She researches history and cultural impacts of oppression upon society. She practises meditation, qigong and experiences through spending time in nature.
