‘Moon Dial Making’
Moon dials are a simple, visual, tween-friendly way to begin tracking cycles. Girls can use them ahead of menarche to track the moon and earth's seasons as well as after menarche to track their own cycle. Flow: Group activity reflecting on the outer seasons of nature, Simple eco-somatic teachings on the 'inner' seasons that link the seasons of earth to each menstrual season and moon phase, Each girl gets to craft, decorate and take home their own dial. We close with a couple of moon-womb songs.
About Mali
I am a Lunar Womb Priestess, songstress, menarche & menstruality mentor, rite of passage facilitator, meditation, pranayama & yoga nidra teacher, artist, ceremonialist, and ecosomatic embodiment facilitator based in Stroud UK. I am passionate about supporting women, womb-folk and girls to connect with their innate creativity, sisterhood and reverence for the earth and body. I work with girls aged 9-13 and their mothers, supporting them before, through the threshold of, and after menarche through woodland gatherings and 13 moons rites of passage which involve crafting, sharing, ritual, menarche ceremonies, storytelling, song and following nature through the wheel of the year and the moon calendar. I was part of the year-round running of the Red Hearth women's festival in Stroud as well as having led the opening ceremony and workshops there. I am devoted to this path and it imbues my life deeply.
